NASC auction is OPEN!!
Thanks everyone!
Wow! :0o: So many amazing plants!

I noticed that there are no labels showing in any of the pictures. How do you keep track of so many of them?!? :)

There are some labels, just pushed into the pots, or hidden behind in the case of most of the orchids. The nepenthes are all quite easy to remember, each is quite distinct from the next.
About 100 cuttings are brand new from another grower who got them from another grower, and I guess his plants are old enough to have inner bred together. So those are going to be interesting to try and figure out.
Tillandsias are a little harder, I've got detailed photos of each one since I purchased it, and a database, but a few still look very similar.

Ooooo a database, you're talking my language! I keep all of my carnivorous plants on a spreadsheet, helps to know when I got them and from who. I'd like to say it also keeps me in budget, but lately that'd just be a lie.

Never thought to push the labels in the pot, looks much cleaner that way! Thanks for the insight ;)

as close to patriotic as my plants get!

just when I'm feeling a little bit unimpressed w St. Hedwig it comes up with a wonderful large Glowstick-like pitcher! This thing is seriously glowing next to my normal collection of dark pitchers.

'Blessed Isles' - (Spectabilis x Tobaica) x Sibuyanensis looking very truncata-esque, the leaves also are becoming more and more box shaped.

After a few weeks this is how the pitchers on 'First Light' - Spathulata x (Spectabilis x Veitchii) look

The St. Hedwig looks really cool amongst the black pitchers! Great colors together.
The first pitcher is awesome! Amazing peristome!

Incredible! I love your "purple haze"! It looks to me like the cross involves sanguinea and tobaica or something similar. I'd love to get my hands on that hybrid someday. The "glowstick" plant too is pretty amazing! Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, St. Glowstick is pretty darn nice right now; I might have to remake one of the famous Luminous Leilani plants ;-) http://pitcherplants.proboards.com/thread/2926

My current theory on 'Purple Haze' is possibly Alata x Clipeata - I was looking through old photos from Sam's nursery and saw one that had the same shape, just less color, and was able to zoom in and check the label on the plant (gotta love high resolution photos!). Next time I'm down there I'll have to check out the rest of the grex and see if it's anything similar.

'Purple Haze' looks a whole lot like the sanguinea x ramispina hybrids I've seen. I have a mystery plant very much like it that I suspect is one of those hybrids, but it's more burgundy than purple.

Does St. Hedwig stay green? In all the photos I can find it appears to color up, which was disappointing because I have a thing for pure green nepenthes.

There is an older pitcher right next to it in one of the photos. Mine just gets the slightest touch of color, other people's have much more color.
