Cephalotus Pitcher Rot

NeciFiX

Kung Fu Fighting!
Hello there,

Just stoppin' in for the odd question.

Sooo, I have a lovely Ceph which has pulled through nicely (only the miniscule pitchers died!) of it's transportation, the LSM around it has come to life, and it had a pitcher coming in which has it's lid opening and peristome developing. But, agh!

At the bottom of this new big pitcher is a tiny dark spot, then on the biggest pitcher so far is a huge black spot at the bottom which doesn't seem to be spreading too much (thankfully, the pitcher still looks nice, this particular pitcher has turned a pink blush and it's lid is yellowish... it's odd).

Is this normal? The other 3rd biggest pitcher which isn't too much smaller has not had this problem, even though it's caught an ambient amount of prey as the largest pitcher has, and the new pitcher hasn't caught anything!

So, what is this anomaly?!

inside ceph pitchers there is a big brown spot. if im not mistaken this is where the juices are secreted.
Alex
