Nope, it eventually flew away... like most of them. It's just nice to catch the interaction on camera when it happens.

Nice! I hate when the insects are so close to falling in and they all of sudden just fly away. Great shots anyways!

Most hornets and wasps in my area are pretty good at not falling into the pitchers either.
