Nope, it eventually flew away... like most of them. It's just nice to catch the interaction on camera when it happens.

Most hornets and wasps in my area are pretty good at not falling into the pitchers either. :)
It came to me as, "Complex Hybrid". Translation: thorobred mongrel. LOL! When others died from the cold snap and dry summer, this one lives.
