What is and what should never be
Hey everyone. Upon request, here are some updated pictures of my bogs. Most of my plants are far from spectacular, especially my Sarrs. My original thread is here: http://terraforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112574

Why is everyone's purp growing except mine!Nice plants!

Those are very nice bogs, I especially like your VFTs.

That pooch is adorable!

Thanks for the update, I enjoyed it especially since I requested the update :)

I was wondering the same about the dragon, the one I got from you is flowering also... yet no double leaves... oh and I took a leaf pulling off of it, even though I thought marstons couldnt do leaf pullings... meh I dunno just thought I"d throw it out there.

Thanks again crystal!

Thanks for sharing the bog pics. Looking great!

What is the Sarr in Bog 2 - upper left corner?

polywer2345 and Capensis,
Thanks for the complements!

Ahmad,
Thank you! He is my big baby, weighing around 100lbs.

Chris,
No problem. Told ya I would, I'm a bit later than promised, but they made it! I'm now really not sure about the Marston Dragon. There's no way I could have gotten it mixed up with other D. binatas because I didn't have any up until this year. I've had the Dragon for about a year now. Both of mine are blooming. If I don't start seeing the leaves change within the next month or so, I guess I'll have to make an official post to let everyone know. Unfortunately I've sent a bunch out.

Clint if you see this - Did your original D. x Marston Dragon ever get the unique leaf shape that gives them their name? Mine certainly aren't.

RL7836,
Thank you! I'd be happier if my Sarrs start looking better. They certainly do not compare to the beauties that I've been seeing on the forum as of late. At least my VFTs are looking halfway decent now. The Sarr in Bog 2 is my S. catesbaei. I got it from Andrew. It's kind of in a stalled state right now; probably from shipping.

Thanks again everyone,
Crystal

Looking real good, there, Crystal!

Great! I have a similar PVC pipe in one of mine. Are the capensis out there year 'round??

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Jim,
Seeing your bog buckets and such for the first time inspired my little minibogs.

ilbasso,
I like using the PVC pipe. I've got it leading to my container that's resting on the bottom of the container holding water. The container along with the ability to fill it using the PVC pipe has definitely helped get my plants through this drought that we've had. The weather has been rough this year! Those particular capensis will be in there year around. If they make it, they make it. If not, well they are capensis, I have plenty lol. My two D. admirabilis made it through the winter and they are supposed to be tropical.

Crystal
