Biodegradable bamboo pots

Has anyone used these before? I saw these at the 99 cent store, they are beautiful. Since these are biodegradable, I'm wondering how long these pots will last, especially with growing cp's in wet conditions.

Fully silicon-ized bamboo will hold up for about 3 yrs in damp conditions, less in standing water or kept absolutely saturated. Wood quality depends mostly on the species and age of the culm when harvested. If harvested too young, it won't have enough silica to maintain durability. If too old, it's already lost some viability due to age.
