Barrel Bog

Long story short I worked with my dad on fencing and I earned some cash,a half wine barrel and a bale of peat.
Soooo I want to obviousely get this started but I thought I had some 20 mill plastic but it's not there so do I need a liner ?
Would the wine tannens or residue hurt them even afte rI was the thing out a few times ?

If I were you, I'd line the barrel with some pond liner. The stuff works great!

jm, i bought my larger barrel liner for $22 at lowes and they sell the barrels themselves as well for about $30.

Thats too much I could get a 50 foot rool of 30 mill plastic for $30 I'll do some plastic but my question is can I do without the liner.
