A Visit to Shinya Yamada

Not long ago I had the pleasure of visiting one of the largest CP grows in Japan, Shinya Yamada. Here are a few photos from the visit.

I don't have time to label them tonight but I'll try to soon.

End with one of my favorites, bonus points to the first correct guess.

wow. now that is an amazing collection.

my first guess would be burb x eddy. I can see a burb x platy or even straight burbridgeae being correct though.

Outstanding. I was hoping you'd post some pics of Shinya's plants. Did you two discuss any of his growing techniques in detail? I've read a few posts by him that seemed to imply he likes to allow his plants to dry out a bit.

I really hope the peltatas in cultivation start taking the same shape as his.

Can't wait to see pics of his veitchii x rajah and veitchii x macrophylla when they mature a bit more.

Gorgeous pics! The peltata is huge, and I love the pattern! It looks like the moss on the gorund in both of your greenhouses enjoy whatever treatment they get there.

Oh yes there were hundreds of Sarr's I still need to sort through them.

Still no correct guess on the last one.

Here is a taste of the Sarracenia.
