A quick visit to Atlanta Botanic Gardens

I went to ABG and met Ron Determann one of the heads of the gardens and an avid conservationist. He gave me a behind the scenes tour of their facilities and we had a great conversation about the CCPS and conservation. So without further ado here are what little pics I took with my iphone. I'll have to go back soon to get better pictures.

This one's for Wireman, one of the type specimens for the species too.

This was a really cool plant, these aerial roots are from Cissus vines. They are at least 10ft long if not closer to 20ft.

I'm definitely overdue for a return trip - it's a wonderful place. I especially like their active role in conservation of several rare species - they don't just talk about conservation but have really helped make a difference.

I really wish we could get them to host the next USA-version of the ICPS conference. I'd be there in a heartbeat!
