I've got a magic window!
It's been a very long time since I had a fish tank.
Saw the Fluval Flex 32 gallon tank and really liked the shape of it. So I picked one up in the beginning of this year to make a low tech planted tank.

Did not care for the stand Fluval designed for the tank and could not find any others. So I ended up making my own.

Thats fantastic!
Mad skills on the tank stand! What are the small plants attached to the rocks, Anubias or Bucephalandra?
Whats the fish/inverts list?
And we need more photos of your cats too.
Thanks for posting!

Great work on the stand indeed!! I have a planted tank that I've been neglecting for years... I wanted to put fancy cherry shrimp in it, but even keeping the TDS pretty low, I can never get them to survive. Lots of algae in there, maybe it's not a kind they like. hahaha! I also have U. gibba floating around in there that seems to do alright.

Thanks.

Plants:
Anubias Gold Coin
Anubias nana
Anubias nana Petite
Anubias nana White Marble
Bolbitis heteroclite (Asain water fern)
Ceratophyllum demersum (Hornwort)
Cryptocoryne costata / C. albida
Cryptocoryne lucens
Cryptocoryne retrospiralis
Cryptocoryne wendtii – Bronze
Cryptocoryne wendtii – Green
Echinodorus Parviflorus
Helanthium bolivianum 'Vesuvius'
Rotala rotundifolia

When I bought my val I wanted Vallisneria asiatica (Corkscrew Val). I bought 5 plants. 1 is what I wanted. The other 4 I believe are Vallisneria spiralis. Of course the Vallisneria asiatica is growing soooo slow. No runners yet. The Vallisneria spiralis is going completely nuts and spreading everywhere. Hopefully the Vallisneria asiatica will start spreading and I will start to thin out the Vallisneria spiralis.
Although Helanthium bolivianum 'Vesuvius' can replace both possibly.

I brought 1 small 3" piece of what I believe is Myriophyllum sibiricum from a local lake to see how it does. It's been a few weeks. The plant is 8-10" tall now.

Been looking at some different Bucephalandra.

I had U. gibba in 1 of my tanks years ago. I'd try it and Aldrovanda vesiculosa in this tank. Problem is they would probably get pushed back into a dark corner with the way the water movement is in the tank.

Fish:
2 - Dalmatian Mollies (Wife wanted these)
2 - Dwarf Oto (Otocinclus macrospilus)
6 - Harlequin Rasbora
9 - Neons
1 - Yo-Yo Loach
1 - Nerite Snail – Zebra

NICE!!!

I've just been thinking it's about time to set up a tank. I've got a big wall in my livingroom I guess normal people would put a TV setup on, but I'm thinking a ridic 150gal tank or something like that. Only ever had fancy goldfish in smaller up to 20gal tanks before but want to get a planted tank together with some big schools of tetras and danios and stuff. Do you get your critters and plants and stuff locally? Those fluvals are nice.

Thanks.
The Fluval Flex does have a very neat design. The largest they make is the 32g in that design. I know they make a lot of other styles, no idea how big they go.

Fish I only buy locally. What is nice is, That Fish Place, is about a 30 minute drive for me. It's a huge pet store. They sell a lot on line as well.
Plants I will get on ebay & Etsy to have a lot more choices then the local shops.
