Well, my cps are well and truly dormant. I've been trying to keep them damp and we have gotten rain (they are outside), but the air is quite dry. The pitchers (S. purpurea, S. wrigleyana, D. californica) all look as if they are drying out. Is this normal, or do I need to keep them wetter? Or...
Here's a pic of a bunch of neps:
N. x Rokko. This is the biggest lower I've had on this plant.
N. x Ile de France. This one always jumps out at you:
N. x Mastersiana sitting atop a freshly cut N. x wrigleyana.
And here's the N. ephippiata that's behind the N. x Rokko:

Hey folks. OK, I have a couple N. x Splendiana cuttings and a couple N. x wrigleyana cuttings available!
Both are easy, nice neps! They will be sent as fresh UNrooted cuttings, so if you want them, you'll have to root them yourselves!
One each, first come, first serve. PM me your address for...

Hi,
I recently purchased one of pft.com's Sarracenia gardens, which is supposed to include a leucophylla, a wrigleyana, and a Judith Hindle. I can't quite tell which one of the plants is a Judith Hindle, however, as they don't quite look like the ones I see in pictures (I'm sure they look...

Time to update the list I think... But this time, instead of listing by store, I would like to attempt to list by nursery, as which nursery a store carries may vary by region... Help me fill in the list! I'll edit it to add what folks let me know of. I'll start the list with what I've seen...

I started to grow CP's about two years ago. Still an amature as you'll see from the picture of one of my bog gardens. I made a bad choice of containers - thought an aluminum wash basin would make a great (inexpensive) bog container. D'oh! The plants in it are actually doing very well, but I'm...

Today is NOT a good day. I just returned from a trip to find that my patio mini-bog of 4 years appears to be the victim of a fungal infection. It's the usual signs - wilted leaves; dead leaves; and, most notable, rhizomes that have turned brown and spongy, with just a few living white roots...
THIS LIST IS MORE THAN 5 YEARS OUTDATED, UNFORTUNATELY MY COLLECTION IS SIGNIFICANTLY SMALLER AND LESS DIVERSE I plan to updated 12/2014 - THE BUG IS BACK, THE ITCH RENEWED!

please PM with any correction to spelling or cultivars (or anything else!)...
I just went outside and discovered that several of my S. wrigleyana pitchers, S. flava, and S. alata pitchers had been munched.
Fortunately, I also caught the culprit red-handed and exacted revenge with a hammer. Oh, how I wish those little buggers could feel pain!
The remains are currently...
