My Nepenthes ventricosa x campanulata 'Menehune' has started to put up flowers.
The flower spike appears to be female.
I'm looking for any Nepenthes pollen that might be available right now so that I can try and pollinate the flowers.

I was wondering if any of our PNW members are involved in the setting up of a planter of cps at a local college? I just read a thread on another forum in which a person started a thread about a poor helpless VFT they "liberated" from an on campus planter recently put in with apparently some...
(Edit: correction to the name: Drosera binata 'Marston Dragon')
I will ultimately be giving away several plants, most likely, plants that resulted when I divided a new plant. I just divided the plant. Because the roots will not immediately be extensive, and the plant will need adjustment...
I was over at my mom's, partly to get a picture of a Begonia, and I broke a piece off that plant by accident. So I decided to gather a few things and make it interesting.
Here's what I left with:
1) Kalanchoe 'Pink Butterflies'
2) Calceolaria mexicana seedling (annual, reseeds)
3) Begonia...
Sarracenia leucophylla Hurricane Creek, AL × alabamensis (ca. 25 seeds)
Some of last years crosses. Flowers were bagged before opening and until a few weeks after petal drop. I haven't the time, patience or space to grow hybrids in search of a few outstanding plants so I'll leave up to others...
Drosera binata var multifida f. extrema
Since I grow these outdoors all year round they die down to the roots in winter. So they don't grow as quickly as they would otherwise. If you climate is warm enough or you grow them indoors or in a greenhouse they should grow quickly. Oversized pots are...
I have sees that I won't get around to planting this spring. They are from last year, so not all of them will sprout. If you have extra space in your garden, please give the seeds a chance! Shipping is on me. Please send a PM!

Just a few shots from my modest collection. Sorry for the poor photo quality, my photography skills are not what someone would describe as "up to par".
D. scorpioides gemmae sprouting - many thanks, jonnyq!

Anyone using this or something similar? What are the best compact humidifiers for nepenthes, I have very limited space left in the tank.
Spring cleaning. . And I need the space.
Orchid for trade is
Lc.purple cascade 'sweet beauty' currently not in bloom.
looking for sarracenia or other cps. (No nepenthes)
Hey guys,
I have a lot of left over Sarr divisions that I just do not have space for. They need to go since they are beginning to emerge from dormancy. I want to make this as simple and fast as possible. I have the following lots available for shipping. Shipping for each lot will be $8.00 via...
I have a rooted cutting that is quickly outgrowing the tiny space it currently occupies on my grow rack:
Note: it does not grow next to the baseboard heater; I moved it there for the photo.

Nepenthes (cuttings fine)

As the title states, I currently have a male N. truncata that is flowering. If anyone has a flowering female (any species), I am interested in a trade. I would pay whatever shipping costs to send it to you, and I would request only a small amount of seed in return, shipped by you (I don't have a...
This is probably a fairly stupid question but I wanted to know if it were possible to grow Mexican pings, P. cyclosecta in particular, outside over the summer (protected from direct sunlight), then overwinter it under lights. I'm asking this because my growlight setup is very very poor and I...
Cuttings giveaway: Brugmansia "Suncrest vulsa". Restricted by climate/conditions
I urgently need to cut back my Brugmansia, and I will not be able to use all the cuttings. So I'd like to offer some of the cuttings in a giveaway.
There are several problems with this. One is that the plant is...
From the bog today I have:

These divisions are from mature flowering plants that are currently dormant

I am wondering what the lowest "kill temperature" is for D. filiformis "Florida All Red." If I could keep these plants outside, I would be able to free up a significant amount of greenhouse space at home. I know they don't *need* a dormancy, but if the temps are low enough would they be forced...
Hey TF. I need some advise.
I've been having a clearance problem with my current setup. I need to create around 2 or 3 foot of space above my plant so that they can flower freely. Is there any lights that will be strong enough to give me that space and still provide plenty of light for them to grow?
