I've heard that in N. Rajah, their pitchers can benefit from having a firm bed of moss to rest on and develop. I was wondering if this would hold true for all terrestrial pitcher plants, and or lower pitchers. Specifically for N. Bicalcarata. The Bicals are swamp plants that at least start...
From some places i've heard it's the slowest growing of them all. Other places i've heard that they grow at a similair rate as nepenthes rajah or lowii. with ideal conditions, what sounds more right?
I have around 40F night temperatures and okay light levels along with more than 70% humidity...

I have my rajah in a terrarium planted right up against the glass wall and it has a leaf/pitcher forming against it. i was wondering, would it be getting scrunched growing against a wall and die or will it find a way to grow beside or up against the wall?

Does anyone know how i could heat a terrarium for a Rajah? I deffinetly have the cool night-temps it needs but durring the winter here the day temps seem too cold. I've heard heating pads/mats dont work so well and I don't know if a heat lamp would burn its leaves.

Has anyone ever heard of rajah having an indefinite life span? Apparently rajah will live forever if the enviromental conditions stay the same and it is not mauled by an animal or hiker.
