Which of your neps is the fastest and slowest?

I was just staring at plants and was comparing in my mind the different groth stages they are at in regards to thier picther inflation. My fastest picthering plant is by far my campanulata and the slowest is my merrilliana. Although my merril does have the largest pitchers to inflate. So which...

    Temperature questions.

Hello guy's, well i have two questions about temperature. First one is, I grow a Maxima and a Gentle on a south facing window-sill. I give the room cooling overnight. I mist allot like 5-7 times a day, and the humidity is always somewhere between 65 and 80. The maxima is doing fine, but the...

Nepenthes photos of our hortus botanicus trip

Hello guys, Me and Anthro went to the Hortus Botanicus in Leiden (Netherlands) today to visit the carnivorous plants collection, which turned out to be only worth visiting for the Nepenthes genus (our intention anyway) because the Sarracenia / Drosera (the size of pygmies even though they...

    Does my merrilliana need

My merrilliana put out a new leaf but it is significantly smaller than the previous one. Does this mean it wants the deeper pot I hear merrill'ies like to have? It's still in the pot it came in which is like 3" across and 4" tall. The plant other than the latest leaf is 3-4" across. Thanks Joe

Been poking around my neps lately (that's different from when?), and I'm getting a bunch of basal shoots. My bical is growing great without missing a step since it arrived and the same for my merrilliana, both are pitchering and sending new leaves while the pitchers are forming. The new leaves are showing signs of pitchers as well. I wish I had a digital camera so I could take pictures. On a down...
