I am looking for a nice dark clone of nepenthes tentaculata from Central Sulawesi. Not the Gunung Murud form, hamata is endemic to Central Sulawesi.
I am looking for a small plant around 3" in diameter that I could put in my ten gallon with my N. hamata an my N. glabrata. I think it would be...
Just a heads up everyone: Seems like Hamatas are becoming available this time of year through a few vendors. Even some seed grown material! :) I know some people here are desperately seeking the Hammies, so heres your chance. Keep an eye open and some spare cash around.

my hamata is cranking out pitchers, typically the peristome is green when they open up and they color up to a dark maroon red and the tips are almost black. anyways here is my hamata's newest pitcher its the largest one to the right.
Alright...i just discovered a small spider currently building a web inside my N. Hamata's new pitcher...i have already fertilized the pitcher with a large pinch of bloodworms...
So i decided to let the people decide...let the spider live in the pitcher, or knock him in in a crule twist of...
Hello again :)
So now that I've found time to return to my job at my college's greenhouse, I've learned that I was quasi-promoted. Instead of doing regular maintenance and all that jazz... they're paying me to basically play with the plants (displays, propagation, pruning), and they...
Well my computer sucks. I just typed up a few questions and some background info. about my growing conditions, but my comp took a crap on me. So, rather than retype it all I just want to ask you all one question: What are your suggestions on growing Hamatas? I can't get my rajah to pitcher yet...
Well I can finally say that I have one of these red hairy Hamatas!
It is still very small, about 1 inch pitchers. I can only hope it turns out to be something like Chi' en Lee's fur covered beast. This is the newest pitcher and it is showing better color than some of the smaller older ones.
I...
Nepenthes stenophylla. Is this an ultra or can it be grown intermediately too?
If Hamatas were not so expencive I would try one of those and grow it like Elgecko does as a windowsil plant.
I am still looking so more questions to come.
i found the only site i have ever seen that has hamata in stock would it be against the rules to state the site here on tereforums?
since petflytrap has no hamatas i dont think it would harm the site would it?
Hey Folks,
I was wondering if Nepenthes can change sex as they get older from known tissue culture specimens. Meaning there's been discussion that almost all N. aristolochioides are male, and almost all hamatas seem to be male, or other hybrids / species females. But is it possible that known...
Well, after six weeks of home-remodelling exile, I'm back in the dusty house. My plant-sitter was, well, she tries hard. But she just can't get enough water on the plants, and some dry out. Admittedly, it's hard to get enough water from my little R/O tank to water everything. Sadly, I lost one...
when i woke up this morning and plugged in the lights for my orchids that i dont have a timer for. my two highland nepenthes also sit in plastic bags for now amongst the orchids. to my surprise poking out the opening of my veitchii cuttings bag is a flower spike. now i was 99% sure when i...

Hi everyone,
I have a 10-gallon highland tank set up with two N. hamata, one N. x Judith Finn, and one N. spathulata x spectabilis. Lighting and humidity are adequate...as is the soil mixture. A frozen (2 Liter) bottle of water is used for cooling and drops evening temps to approx. 55...

I signed up for a VISA and I actually got it (my first real credit card not just a Atm/Visa) so I had to go and get that Nikon Coolpix right away instead of saving up another 2 weeks pay! Here's two pics that I took having read only the "quick start" guide using autofocus with only a bit of...
I purchased a N. hamata back in June (or July) and it's put up 5 leaves since I recieved it one pitcher was aborted (the one opening when I got it) and the others have not opened but the buds are furry (not burnt) and inflating bit by bit every day. What I'm impressed by is that the plant has...
