    Warning to Atlanta area growers

I suggest that all Atlanta growers keep a sharp eye on their collections. I believe someone has "found" me and is liberating my plants. Last night discovered that my 'Leah' and a portion of my lecuo x umlauftiana appear to have been stolen. At first I thougt it was maybe just that animals had...

    Southeastern Flower Show

If anyone is in the area of Atlanta the Southeastern Flower Show is this week, 2/7-2/11. I have entered a number of plants and seen some of the other CPs entered. It should be a very good display so if you have the time go check it out. www.flowershow.org for more information

    Nep seed for SASE giveaway

First and foremost: READ THE RULES!! If you do not follow the rules then you are ineligible. I do not like having to do this but I am tired of people not bothering to read and respect to the rules I set and then having to throw myself out of whack catering to them. I have 35 packs of seed...

From the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, sadly I had many more but lost them in a hard drive crash. If you are ever in Atlanta, it and the aquarium are a must see. They have a large collection of CP's. I believe this is hand blown glass, very cool...it hangs in the middle of their Nep room...

In Search of a 1999 Sarracenia Offered by the ABG

Hello, Does anyone have a Sarracenia purpurea ssp. venosa var. burkii forma luteola for trade? I had bought this plant from the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in 1999 but lost it during a move. It was offered from the ABG through the CP listserve. There is a photo of it in Donald E. Schnell’s...

    D. spatulata as an annual

Every morning i look over at my little clump of Drosera spatulata, planning and scheming about it. What I was thinking about trying is in the spring once the temp gets above 50 deg or so, repot the clump in a bigger pot, and take a plant and put it outside with my VFTs here in Atlanta. I have a...

All you ever wanted to know

So I recall a while back someone somewhere made a comment that there was not a lot of information on these guys and that that was the reason no one grew them or took up offers for them. I was drafting up something for a friend and decided to go whole hog so here you go. And please remember...

    D. rotundifolia in Atlanta

I've done a little research on this dew, and it appears that it does best in cooler climates (such as the mountains) and I am wondering if it could take my atlanta sun/heat? All I have are seeds in the fridge that I bought on eBay a few months back that I have been waiting until winter to sow...

    Post on the listserv

Before going any further I want to note that I have permission to post this from the Admin so please no replies about how sales are not allowed. I don't know how many people are on the listserv here but there was a recent post there that I figured everyone might be interested. Henning von...

    Bical in Atl

I know there is a bit of representation of Atlanta on the board. As such, do any of you Atlantaians grow bical? If so, how do you recommend? I can it take it outside?

    Growing truncata

All this talk about truncata has got me interested. How easy is it to grow on a windowsill? Outside? I live in Atlanta, GA and I think there are at least two other people in the area on the forum that may have some experience with that plant. Would it do ok in the same conditions that a...

    D. capillaris

Thanks to samo I now have some D. capillaris. I live in atlanta GA and do keep Sarracenia and VFTs outside. I believe that capillaris is from around this part of the world. As such, is it best grown outside, or on a windowsill?

    Who's in atlanta?

I'm visiting my parents in Atlanta for Thanksgiving. I'll be there from 20 Nov 2005 through 26 Nov 2005. Anybody interested in meeting, say at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens? Pyro, IIRC, you do some work at the ABG?
