worth repotting?

pappydew

I hate bugs. Carnivorous plants get me.
My P. moctezumae seems to be sinking within its pot. I'm not sure if the media is just compacting or what but it is restricting the grow space for the leaves it seems. Would it be worth it to repot it in the sense that I would just be adding more on top of the existing substrate? I just didn't know if pings were sensitive to transplanting when already established. Thanks!

what I do is when you get the substrate in the pot, drop the pot on the table from about 1" up. That helps compact the media before you get the plant in. And it seems to compact it just right so it's not too packed in there..

I do the same thing as Massmorels.
I give the pot a tap on a hard surface to set the soil in the pot.
This will prevent the soil and plant from "sinking" in the pot.

At this point you could spoon out the plants and add media. Then plop the spooned out plants on top. Then use a spray bottle to meld the media.
