You're right - I do like your N. aristolocioides x ventricosa.

I'm curious about your P. cyclosecta x laueana. I wonder what color the flowers would be. Has it produced any? I think both parent plants have beautiful blooms but they are so different in color.

I think he meant that the pot has cyclosecta and laueana in it. He used a plus sign not an x, but I could be wrong if I am that could be a beautiful plant!

The big one is P. cyclosecta and the two small ones are P. launeana. I might try crossing them now....
You haven't even seen the best aristo x ventricosa pitcher yet. It gets fatter!

Haha, N. 'Chorizo' I like those tubby pitchers. All your plants look wonderful. That is the fastest growing purp I know of, mine are so slow from seed; did it grow from seed outside? Love the color on that rubra pitcher!

It's the fastest one I've ever seen, too. I might have a new cultivar on my hands. I didn't grow it from seed. It was saved from an herbicided bog before everything died. Mature pitchers were the ones that were intended to be collected, but I got all of the seedlings. That one is the most vigorous, hands down.
That possible new subspecies of rubra develops even better colors as the temperatures drop, just wait.

And now the moment you didn't know you've been waiting for. D. cistiflora 'Red' shows signs of life!!!! I got this to germinate without any special treatment at all, aside from letting it bake in a windowsill for a month while in the packet.

N. 'Lorraine is singalana x boschiana. You can't go wrong with those parents! N. burkei is a nice plant, just as easy as ventricosa. I have a feeling the striping on the boschiana will fade as it ages. It has red leaves right now, which I find really unusual, so we'll see how it matures. Part of me hopes that it's the locality the produces those monstrous 40cm tall uppers, another part doesn't. It's such a big plant!

Thanks! The native purps are doing very well. One of the seedlings from last year will probably flower in the spring. It grew extremely fast! Hopefully I'll be able to cross it with another plant from the same site to get more of the genotype.
