When to divide

I have these two utrics growing in 3" pot on my windowsill at the momement and both have flowered/are flowering in the last month or so. My question is, when should I divide the plants and begin a new culture, and should I use straight peat, peat/perlite, lfs...

The bisquamata has grown pretty much all the way to the edge of the pot and the livida has come close, both are missing a square plug which was planted in a VFT bowl outside.

from what I have read, it seems like these plants will grow in just about anything.

When they reach/overgrow the rim if you want.

Straight peat or 1/1 peat/sand is fine. Or lfs... or peat/perlite.. or like you said, anything really.
