Read the rules first :)
NASC auction is OPEN!!

What's your bandwidth?

Try going here to test your bandwidth speed. I think my ISP just tripled what I used to have... I'm at 3.95 Mbps...

Wouldn't you know it, as I was clicking mcafee started updating..

So I waited till it was done

First one: 798.60 Kbps
Second one: 739.80kbps

Crappy DSL.. I wish I could get cable here...

Yea - I tried that one too but it looked a little too showy to be all that accurate

. I guess it makes sense that time-of-day affects this cause now I'm getting 5.27 down, .911 up. AE - don't you live in NY,NY - a bit of an advantage haha

This is what mine said.

Download Speed: 1398 kbps (174.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 373 kbps (46.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

Im on crappy slow dialup this is what the first link said,
Your bandwidth was clocked at
20.90 Kbps

and this is what the second link said,
Your current bandwidth reading is:

20.70kbps

which means you can download at 2.59 KB/sec. from our servers..

I sure hope someday in the very near future we can get cable out here in the woods..

i got 44 kbps download and 304 kbps upload on a dialup.  i used the link that was posted by AE.

if i use the link provided in the first post, i get 47.40 kbps.

peace,
tech...

914/220Kbps
But I have to wonder about the accuracy of a site that is advertising you to switch to their service? Call me cynical...

Ggrrrr darn you AND your stupid cable Andrew.. :P

My DSL just tested at:
Last Result:
Download Speed: 2481 kbps (310.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 383 kbps (47.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

Not as fast as cable, but I get a dynamic IP address and I dont have to have Comcast in my house.. fair trade I'd say.

Cheers
Steve

Yeah, next year they'll finish installing fiber optics in the city and there will be 30mbps plans available for the same price i pay now. No more lag in online games.

Yeah, well they're gonna make SF a big wireless access point. lol Not that I live in SF or close enough to benefit.

Both sound like exciting projects, though!
