What is the proper pronunciation of N. "aristolochioides"?

This one has always given me trouble. ???

I always thought the correct pronunciation sounded a bit clumsy (I don't like the "loke" sound, preferring "lock",) but it is named after the plant genus Aristolochia and should be pronounced the same way. The Wikipedia article on the species has a pronunciation key for the name but you have to mouse over each syllable to see what it's supposed to sound like unless you're very familiar with the system.

If you wish to use Latin pronunciation of these terms, then “oides” should be pronounced “oy dees”.

aristo-loch-ioydees ( I think). By what nimbulan said it could be aristo-loki-oydees though. ???

:p - fixed that. Looking back, I really don't know why I wrote it out like that.

The correct pronunciation is "overpriced ornamental plant ioides"
