What is happening here?!

I was just checking up on individual plants when I found this! it is on the very end of the flower stalk, and appears to be a new plantlet growing. What I want to know is how? Is it getting nutrients from the stem? Or is it just sprouting new leaves here?

First time I have seen this, but then again I am not nearly as experienced as others on this site. I just discovered that spagnum moss has started to growing in the pots! :o

Flowers are just modified leaves so sometimes they fail to modify correctly. Sometimes an entire plant can form on a flower stalk and this is known as false vivipary.
