My favorite is some came and went before my time member called WriggleAnna. I haven't a clue as to who she is, but I thought the name was creative and appropriate to this hobby.

Bugweed, PAK?? Whoz that?
Adnedarn? I know HIM!!! I owe him a beatin', and I have to pin his ears back! Andrew, remind me to beat you and do your ear pinning later, OK? I'm busy right now.
Another vote for Bugweed here. I think I was on the board for like a year before it even occured to me to think about what his name meant... suddenly I was in awe of its cleverness.
Cleverness, End P? I was named by my 4 year old son. I have told the story before. However:
My youngest was helping his mother pull the weeds from the cracks in the patio. He asked what they were, and of course, The Mom says, these are weeds. They have to go.
Later, he comes across me trimming my plants. He says, "What kinda weeds are these??" Since he was four then, I said, "Weeds? These plants catch bugs!!!" He looked up at me, a questioning look on his face, forehead and brow wrinkled in question. He looked me square in the eye and asked the question-----"Bugweeds?" I fell out laughing. I have assumed "Bugweed" since that day.
