What am I growing?

I got one of those carnivorous plant kits from Lowe’s that’s supposed to grow a Venus fly trap and a pitcher plant from a dormant starter. I planted them about six months ago and thought the pitcher was successful, however now I’m pretty sure it’s just grass (in the beginning I did keep it outside for about a week). Also, as far as I can tell what is growing is coming from/attached to the dormant piece that the kit came with.

Is my assumption correct or is there a pitcher plant that starts out like this?

Looks like, maybe, grass or bamboo to me but almost certainly not a carnivore. But, if you've never grown all of the likely plants that your kit is supposed to provide it is best to be cautious. Some of the seedlings don't look a lot like their adult forms at first. I, myself, have pampered numerous weeds hoping they would become what they were supposed to be.

There's nothing carnivorous there, but I also don't see anything grass per se. Sedge possibly for some of the slimmer-leaved plants below the big thing, but unsure exactly what the big plant is
