Use of bugs killed with insecticide?

Is it ok to use bugs that died of insecticide to feed my nepenthes and other carnivorous plants? I just cleaned our screened in porch after being on vacation. There were a number of dead bugs on the porch. I assume they died of insecticide because the pest control guys spray a few times a year. I have no idea what they sprayed. I don’t want to damage my plants.

If the spray is okay with use on your CP’s, then, IMO it’s okay to feed them. If you don’t know what the spray is, I would be more on the safe side and not just in case.

I would guess that the residual amounts of pesticide in or on a bug would be pretty minute. Certainly if a plant were in the vicinity of an insecticide being sprayed, it would be exposed to a far greater amount.

I meant that as a comparison. I would think a treated bug, especially after airing out, should have extremely small amounts of residual pesticide. I've seen recommendations to remove plants from rooms that are being fumigated, but those involve far larger amounts. I would suspect that there are many household sources of pesticides that could be far worse that might not be obvious, such as pets being treated for pests, or humans who handle them. Or perhaps humans after spraying Raid or whatever, but not changing clothes, washing hands, or showering.
