U.tricolor

I got some U.tricolor a couple of weeks ago and I planted in a peat/sand/perlite mixture (1:1:1). For some reason, the leaves started to turn grey/moldy so I cut them off before the mold/rot could spread. I don't have any leaves left and was wondering if they can grow from roots only.

This blight seems to strike tricolor pretty regularly with me. I have had the plant due back and disappear for months and then spring back and fill the pot again. It seems to devote quite a bit of growth to below the surface so you should be okay
