tannic tea --> also possible with just some black tea?

I just read the whole topic about tannic tea, but one thing isn't 100% clear for me.

Is it possible to make tannic tea, just with some Black tea bags and cold brew? Or is it necessary to follow Bob's receipe, and at the end make it stronger with black tea bags?

That's what I use, pure black tea and water.

I found it took a lot of black tea to get a good concentration. You're better off using peat instead I think.

They make blackwater concentrate for aquariums thats pretty much tannic tea. I wonder if you could use that.
