I asked the seller to stop the auction which he finaly did.

Today i found the following the following auction on the US-Ebay:

Once again the same stamps. He was much more cooperative than the austrian seller. He told me, that he got these stamps from a lithuian company, but could olny give me a Mailing Address. After a short google-search i think, i found the homepage of the company. It is located there:

I would really like to know if someone here bought these stamps (just out of coriosity). So, if you have them, please let me know.

Unfortunately you have to be the one on vigilance as ebay can't verify the authenticity of every item posted, you the original creator have to contact them and proove they're yours. And do it EVERY TIME you see your items go up.

Looks like you'll have to go to the supposed source - the Lithuanian company and officially tell them to Cease and Desist (legal language) from selling stamps with your images on it and that you intend to file a legal action if it is not stopped. Even if you have no money for a lawyer it may be enough to threaten legal action..

On ebays Model kit page you can find tons of independently produced resinfigure kits sold by sculptors that are originally sold for $100-$300 each being sold on ebay for $30-$40 by recasters in hong kong. A person buys the original model here in the US for the real price and ships it to hong kong to get it recasted and the hong kongers sell on ebay. Same model but the person who originally sculpted it doesn't get even a nickle of that $30. The recasters even are so bold as to put "this is recast" in their ad but it might as well say "this is stolen".

Talk about copyright infringement.

How much do you get for each stamp set sold?

I wish they'd steal my photos to make stamps.

I wish they'd steal my photos to make stamps.

hehe.............

Me too.............

I'd probably take it as an honor. But then I'm not a professional photographer with a career to protect.

Still, kinda odd stamps though...
