Spectabilis division.

I have a problem. My N. spectabilis is only one plant as I found out by taking it out of the soil, with 2 rosettes I can see very clearly 2 sets of roots but both of them connect at either sides of only one base. Can I seperate the base of the plant without hurting it, or if I cannot, Can I seperate one of them as a cutting?

Yes, you should be able to without any problem if you divide them carefully. At the broken spot, you can apply some rooting hormone and repot in different pots. Good luck.
