Well with winter still hanging on there is not a whole lot to see with the outside plants. I do keep a few little goodies inside that are still worthy of viewing.

Enjoy,
Steve

First the whole 10 gallon tank

Plants (clockwise from bottom left) D. adelae, D. 'Emerald's Envy', D. capensis "giant form", D. filiformis "Florida giant" ("I think" Bugweed will know), D. aliciae, D. venusta, N. hamata, P. 'Sethos' and in the very bottom left (not seen) is a small Cephalotus that refuses to grow or die..

Nice! Is that all of your lighting?

I can't figure it out. I've tried VHO, PC, MH, NO, reflectors, foil... everyone still gets better dew production than me! Good growing!

is that a 10 gallon long or tall? i have a tall and i couldnt fit anywhere near that many plants in there.... you have some very nice dews there!!! i long to have a N. hamata.....i have the conditions........just not the money :crap:
Good growing!

The light is a standard 2 bulb 24" fluorescent. I have plain cool white bulbs in it. There is foil wrapped around 2 sides and crowning over the fixture to reflect light down. And as you can see, the plants sit within 2-6" of the bulbs.

The tank itself is a standard 10 gallon tank (20x10x12) with a shelf placed at 6". There is actually room for several more plants if I tried.. I actually just removed 3 pots of failed leaf cuttings before these pics were taken.

Cheers
Steve

I just raised my sundews closer to my lights, I hope that has some effect on them like your D. Adalae. Your Adalae are growing like crazy!

Very nice looking! I noticed that you will mix a butterwort with a sundew, as opposed to restricting one species to a pot.

Haha well the mixing of plants was not intentional. There used to be another pot with P. lusitanica next to that one and it was contaminated when I didn't catch the seed pod in time.

Actually I am trying to crossbreed them.. If successfull I am going to call it Drosicula emeraltanica. :jester:
