Sarracenias in decline

I have some unusual behavior with my sarracenias. Ever since I started flooding them with tray water they've started browning leaves below and producing abnormal leaves. The purpureas seem happy but these two fellows dont seem so well. I can't tell if its heat stress or what it could be. They get plenty of sun so I doubt that's it. Does this look like a familiar story to anyone?

that one looks like S. flava. it normally starts to go dormant mid summer. it makes phyllodia(non- carnivorous leaves). pitchers also get smaller and growth is slowed. you may just be experiencing this.

Thanks for the heads up. That's odd. I have only read online docs mention the winter snooze. I havent seen much about a summer one. Time to reduce water and photo period or just leave it alone?
