I lost quite a few plants this winter but I have a Sarracenia that is sending up much smaller pitchers than usual. Should I dig it up and cut away the part of the rhizome that is dead or should I just leave it be. I'm a bit concerned that the dead part may have some kind of 'rot' that will eventually get into the healthy rhizome. The inside of the rhizomes that died over the winter seem to be tan to brown in color while the ones that made it are white on the inside.
