I have a S. 'Fat Chance that has been doing great! Thwn I noticed it's pitchers were starting to dry out. While this plant does sit in the highest part of the tray (first to dry) I'm pretty sure it's been kept wet (except those 3 days I sold at the reptile show :x ). Anyway, I've been making sure to keep it watered this past week and it's only progressed to look worse. Today, a pitcher was even on the ground, that's odd. Looking close I see a pile in the heart of the plant. Doesn't really look like peat or perlite though.

I decide to uproot it and found the pitchers were damaged at the rhizome, many popped off with little effort. I set the whole plant in a tub of water to rinse it and after looking again, I believe I found the issue.

I cleaned the plant a little more and left it over night and will repot it tomorrow. Is this a normal Sarr issue maybe for those of you growing outside? I don't think I need to implement any changes having this one issue in so many years, but would there even be anything to be done?
