Millipedes produce various defense liquids that can be harmful to other animals. Are millipedes safe to feed to Nepenthes or will the plants be harmed as well?
I haven't fed my Nepenthes millipedes, but they have found their own way into the pitchers now and then. As far as I can tell, they just get eaten by the plant all the same like ever other bug that drops in.
I think the only (slightly) problematic bugs I've had are bumblebees. They sometimes stay afloat due to their hairyness and can start to mold.
