Red truncata, maybe

Hey, I have been away from my plants for a few months but am back on vacation now. A basal that I noticed on my truncata has grown a pitcher. The pitcher is reddish, much more than the ones on the main plant. Since they are the same plant can anyone explain the greater color?

Younger pitchers on the highland variety tend to have more color than the mature pitchers....why, im not sure....
