Basic answer, I would say both are good. If it rains, it is free and works. If you have no rain, ro is pretty cheap and works too. PLEASE make sure you're searching the forum before posting your questions. Use the link in my signature if you need to be pointed to the search feature. There is LOTS to read on different waters and such as it pertains to the use in watering your carnivorous plants
