i was wondering if i should put some rain water inside of the pitcher. the pitchers hood is parrot beak shaped to help keep water out but i my friend told me they require rain water to digest the prey.
Welcome to TF! No, they don't need rain water or anything in there to digest it, they digest it themselves with their own emzymes. (Woot, my 900th post )
just FYI, you'd probably want to post this under the correct section next time... I'm sure a mod will move it for you...
Well ask yourself what would happen in nature?... would this plant die becuase it would need the rainwater in the pitcher yet it had evolved to keep rainwater out? seems like that wouldnt work out very well...
Long answer short. it doesn't need the rainwater...
