Just started germinating, not much to look at yet.

appears to perhaps have glands on the cotyledons.
 
Congrats Warren. I am not familiar with these species; Do you figure your hybrid will be sterile?

I would think odds are that the hybrid will be sterile. I haven't looked up the ploidy counts for the parents but even if they are the same there is no guarantee the offspring will be fertile. I suspect some of the other hybrids like. D. pulchella × nitidula maybe be fertile based on the way it spreads in my pots. I have never bothered to check for seeds though.

Both parents are self-incompatible so the offspring are likely to be self-incompatible too. That will add some difficulty in determining if the plants are fertile or not.
