Putting seeds in freezer

Will putting the Devil Claw seeds in the freezer harm the seeds or not harm them? I decided to put them in a zip lock bag and put them in the freezer until next spring.

I think they should be kept in a cool, dry environment.

Thank you and I will see what happens next spring. I hope it doesn't harm them and my dad does that to vegetable seeds. They grow after that.

Maybe a plain refrigerator will be better...
