Purple pitchers!

I got this new from ************* (cooks carnivorous plants) about a year or 2 ago. It started making these splendid pitchers about 2-3 months ago. It is growing under lowland-intermediate conditions in a lower humidity. It is Vogelii x (Spathulata x Mira).

Yes, it is grown indoors in a small greenhouse of mine, about 1.5 feet under a 150 watt high pressure sodium bulb. Not to get off topic, bit here are the cat pics you asked for. She is a she.

Any chance you can post photos of your small greenhouse? I'd love to see how you've got that setup, I'm sure others would too.

Sorry for the late reply. Here is a picture. The blue thing on the right is a fan. I then have the HPS light on top for most all the plants. The second shelf has a few cactus growing under 2 regular 2 foot T12's and 1 6000k T12. On the right you can see the 5 gallon bucket with a computer blower on it and a tube going into the greenhouse. That is my homemade ultrasonic atomizer humidifier, but it hasn't been used in a while due to a phase. (Possibly a little depression?) But I plan on starting it up again soon. It sits on a wine cooler that I plan on making into a ultra highland setup one day when I get the time. Bottom shelf is just storage.

Wowza, what a setup! Super fun! Does it put off much heat?

The greenhouse is cool, but there is a problem. It looks like it takes up too much space. I think you should free up some space by sending me your cat.

Sorry, but the cat is mine

It used.to heat the greenhouse up to 90+ degrees, which isn't a problem if I liked lowlanders. I like all neps but wanted to get more intermediates and possibly lower range Highlanders. It now stays at 65 at night and 78 in the day, a little less with the cool humidifier mist blowing in.
