potato problem

Hey guys, my potatoes have a problem. The leaves nearest the top seem to become discolored and subsequently the entire leaf stem falls off. Any ideas?

get a good magnifier. I think you are dealing with a mite infestation. Polyphagotarsonemus latus maybe?

Thanks for advice, I saw tiny insects hanging out around the affected area. I sprayed it down with neem oil so we'll see how it goes.
