Pond water level to bog pot soil level

New to this. Looking to do a small patio pond with Sarracenia, Butterwort and Sundews. How high do I need my bog pot soil level above the pond water level. For the pond I am looking at a depth of 10 to 12 inches.

Thanks all!

As a rule you will need a minimum of 2/3rds of the pot above the water level, to a maximum depth of 4" or so. any deeper and the soil below the water level won't get any oxygen which will effectively form a no-go area for roots and if the pond is stagnant can form an anaerobic level.
Cheers

Thanks, that is exactly what I needed to know.
