First post in a long while.

This is supposedly ventricosa x "TM" but I'm still have my doubts.

Spectacular! sure looks like pure TM to me... how does the rest of the plant look?

One of the rare occasions where you are happy with the misidentification. :p

Nepenthes "Evening Light" - tobaica x (sanguinea x khasiana)

Are you sure about that ID? Those "eye spots" scream reinwardtiana to me. Though, I don't know that I've seen a reinwardtiana with that much speckling inside.

Both N. tobaica and N. sanguinea are related to N. reinwardtiana ( especially N. tobaica) and can have eyespots. They can easily pass them down into hybrids.

I have them as a houseplant with humidity normally below 50%. I use the tray method though so maybe that gives it enough moisture in the air.

Crazily enough, a few of my nepenthes hybrid seeds managed to germinate with humidity that could drop below 40%, and light levels quite a bit lower than most germinated at. It is just a handful of them, but still who'd of thought? Maybe humidity can be more flexible with some nepenthes?

I have a few others that have done surprisingly well for being in a dorm room. I think the plants seem to grow slower though without the humidity they should be getting.

Maybe I'm blind.... what are 'eye spots' ... ?

Eyespots are areas on the inside of the pitcher where the wax coating is absent, producing little circles that appear darker in color due to the missing wax layer, and there are usually 2 of them, making it look like the pitcher has eyes it's watching you with.

Err...mods, can you fix the poll for my entry? It should be N. Rajah X Mira instead of N. Petiolata.
Thanks in advance!
