The warm temperate Pinguicula of the SE US don't get nearly the amount of press as the Mexican variety, and that's really a shame. Imo a couple of these are the easiest CPs to grow on a windowsill. As long as they get some bright light, low mineral water and don't freeze, P. planifolia and P. primulaflora just grow. The thing that makes them easier than say, Drosera capensis is that if you keep them in a pot with drainage there's no way you're going to overwater. If you look closely at this pic, you'll see how the dew on the tentacles reflects white from the flash. The rest of the plant is under water. They're completely fine with this for extended periods:
