Pill bug and ladybug

I was unaware that a ladybug was toxic to Venus flytraps, and now I know why

I have never heard this, I'm pretty sure mine have caught lady bugs before (I even release lady bugs in my Nepenthes greenhouse next door sometimes) and have been fine. Why do you believe this?
