piggy back membrane on your ro system

Does anyone here use a piggy back membrane on their RO system? It's said to double your production.. But the way it hooks in, is the incoming water is the brine water of the first membrane... so you're starting with water that is a higher TDS than your tap... My second question... is you then have only 1 flow restrictor.. do you match it to the first membrane, or the second? and my third question, is would you want the more gpd membrane as the first/main membrane or the second/back up membrane?

I don't think I've ever heard someone talk about this here... how about that? NEW RO system talk! hehe

nevermind, after thinking about it more my response had errors... the membranes are in parallel even though at first glance they appear to be in series
