Phylodia on daina's delight... is this normal?

Adam

Sarracenia Collector
Last year, i bought a dainas delight. Since last october, there have been two phyllodia sprouts, and now one is coming up (or it;s a pitcher) it is almost flowering, i was wondering if i could discourage this

I think that this is normal. I am not sure exactly, but I believe that there is a phylodia producing species somewhere in the mix. I am not certain. I don't think it can be discouraged, but you may want someone elses opinion.

It's perfectly normal. The only way I can think of to "discourage" it is to give it more sunlight, but I'm sure you have it in the brightest spot available. My S. x 'Dana's Delight' has produced tons of phyllodias.
