While observing the flower of Pinguicula agnata (CSUF) it is easy to see how this species has influenced the cultivar, Pinguicula 'Gina'. Also speculating that a form of the species was used, other than the form shown in this photo, most likely a form that does not exhibit red coloration in its leaves even under strong light.

What "CSUF" stand for?

That specific clone was grown and selected by Leo Song Jr. of CSUF. The CSUF tag just identifies it as being different from the other numerous clones of agnata that are in cultivation.

Mr. Song was an avid Ping grower who maintained the collection at Fullerton.
