Example image, exact plant may not be the specific one shown.
Commonly known as American Spikenard, this plant is a moist shade-loving North American forest native, growing to 4 feet tall and making sweet edible fruits, spicy anise-like roots that can be used as a substitute for Sarsparilla when making rootbeer, and even usable with new leaf shoots as a soup vegetable. Plants are attractive as understory foliage and die back fully in winter.
US Only; bidding starts at $5, winner pays for Priority shipping ($10).
