I go to Big Pine frequently to visit my godson on No Name Key.
I will go ping hunting my next time down.
You should be rather cautious when wandering in the boonies there.
It is not unusual to see a crock or two near the canals and there is evidence that they breed in the area.  They can be agressive.

Whoa!  I had no idea there were crocs down there, thought there was only that one aligator at the blue hole.  Thanks for the heads up!
