In an old propagation tray from lots of years ago I found a teeny tiny ping. I marked what propagation row it was in but now that it's grown I can see it's clearly not that. Well, now it's flowered and it's a dead ringer for the plant I used to sell as P. esseriana, which I'd imagine came from Joseph C. (Pinguicula man) so I'd trust his identification. But this thing is much bigger that a plant I bought as P. esseriana "giant" (shown beside this plant grown in same conditions but different media). What do you all think? @jeff 2
Thanks!!

I don't believe in the notion of 'giant' for this plant

for me it's definitely an esseriana, but you have 2.(look there are 2 hearts)
maybe you should separate them.

Thanks for your input! There is definitely a difference in size here. The split happened with the flower, here are the two plants 5 weeks ago before the flower and plant splitting.

looking a little closer at the first photo in fact the base of the rosette only represents one plant, but nevertheless subsequently it is split in two.
may be a genetic problem, or a substrate that has been boosted
for my part I would leave it like that and at the moment of dormancy, I would see what it gives
